Here are just a few of the best tips for using the number chart 1-100 in multiplication:

The ten times table is just counting 10s in order – 10, 20, 30, 40, etc.
The five times table all have numbers ending in 5 and zero, and the first digit increased every number.
The three times tables have the sum of their digits to three. The pattern for the 3 X tables repeats throughout the table (ex., 12:1+2=3, 15: 1+5=6, and 18:1+8=9, 156:1+5+6=12).
All the even numbers in the multiplication table can be divided by the number 2.
Any number in the four times table is an even number, of course, but all multiples of four have their last digit of the number end in 0,2,4,6,8.
Away to remember 7 X 8 (which is normally hard to remember for some reason) 7 X 8 is 56, so just remember the sequence 5,6,7 and 8.
Use flashcards to write the multiplication problems with the equation on the front side and the answer on the back (example: 5 X 4 on the front side and 20 on the back side).
