Are you using Apologia’s Anatomy and Physiology book in your homeschool? When teaching our homeschooled kids this topic, sometimes it’s nice to break up the textbooks with some fun anatomy and physiology worksheets. We’ve got the free printable worksheets broken down for you by lesson.
How to Teach Kids about Anatomy and the Human Body
Teaching anatomy and physiology to kids can be a lot of fun. Kids are curious about the human body and the different systems and how they work.
There can be some funny and even embarrassing conversations to be had when learning about the human body. Yet it is important and great to discuss together at home. I would much rather my kids learn about the human body from me, than in a classroom somewhere else.
Be sure to print some science coloring pages that you can use alongside your human anatomy studies.
Fun ways to teach your kids about the human body:
- Have your kids lay on the floor and trace their body on a huge sheet of butcher paper or packing paper. They can then cut it out, color and label the different body systems.
- Create a model skeleton with play dough or modeling clay while learning about the skeletal system.
- Read some fun books about the human body.
- Human Body puzzles are great for young children to put together and talk about while building the puzzle.
