The Animal Kingdom isn’t just a park at Disney World. It’s about the scientific classification of all of the different animals, insects and their species that inhabit the world we live in. There are so many different kinds of animals, it can be hard to keep track of them all. It’s a lot of fun for children learning about animals, to learn and understand the way that biologists sort the animals into their different classifications.
If you have children that love learning about animals, or you are learning about animals in your science curriculum you will want to know how to classify and sort them. There are lots of FREE worksheets, and printables to help your kids learn more about the Animal Kingdom. You can use these to do a unit study that focuses specifically on animal classification. They will read a short description about what makes the animals special. There are 10 worksheets to apply what they have learned to different animal examples by cutting out the animals and matching it to the group being studied, then pasting it on the worksheets.
These color coding worksheets will have your students learn the difference between mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians, arthropods and mollusks. There are two worksheets for each type of animal with a short summary, and bonus questions. As they answer the questions and color the picture, they will decode what the animal type is!
