Although I am Puerto Rican, I love everything Irish. I have shared before how I loved my Irish literature classes in college. Literature wasn’t the only thing that intrigued me about the Irish. Their culture was rich and vibrant which included songs from the Celtic nations–Brittany (Breizh), Cornwall (Kernow), Wales (Cymru), Scotland (Alba), Ireland (Éire) and the Isle of Man (Mannin or Ellan Vannin).

These Celtic tunes by Marc Gunn even have some have lyrics in English, Irish and the original lyrics for some of the traditional songs. The songs are so enjoyable to listen to and your kids will love singing them as they learn the culture and even some things about St. Patrick. I love that some of the compilations are long, so we can keep the music playing lowly in the background as we do school. Don’t miss out on these beautiful Celtic songs full of life and treasures.
