One of my favorite things about homeschooling is being able to incorporate the fine arts into our home. Studying about specific composers and listening to their music throughout the day has been such a fun and relaxing time in our homeschool. I thought it would be fun to do a series on some favorite composers!
The basic idea of composer study is this:
Pick a composer to study, read great books about him and listen to the music often! I also like to incorporate coloring sheets, worksheets and even notebooking while they are listening the the music. The Charlotte Mason way of composer study is usually to take an entire term to study one composer. That would be one composer every 9-12 weeks. I prefer to do one a month or one every 6 weeks, that’s just my preference.
