Letter E Teaching Ideas
When you’re introducing the letter E to your children, you can start by giving kids a list of what the letter E stands for.
- E is for Elephant
- E is for Egg
- E is for Ear
- E is for Eagle
- E is for Elf
Letter E Activities
If you’re studying the letter E, you can set aside an entire day for the letter. Make eggs for breakfast. Create an elephant mask or fly like an eagle.
Head outside and take a nature walk looking for items that begin with the letter E. Do you see an envelope, earth, ears, or an egg?
Talk about all the colors that begin with the letter E such as eggplant, ebony, or eggshell. Print a large capital E on a piece of paper and draw pictures of items that begin with the letter E.
Go shopping and see how many Es you can find on the different labels. Does wheat flour have an E in the name? What about peas, lettuce, or butter?
With a bit of thought, you can have a blast running errands and learning about the letter E as you travel.
