Is your pet another member of your family? Ours are. I normally don’t even like pets, yet when I moved to a place where our home security had to be dogs barking, I had no choice. Our dogs are a part of our family now. We love them, take care of them, and I can say they do the same for us. If your kids have a pet they love, then doing this art project will be a hit.
I always like art projects that can be used as gifts for people. I have enough of “stuff” around my home. I can a photo of the project for my records, but if I keep it in my home, I will want to keep it forever. That is why the best types of art projects my kids do are the ones they can give away to family and friends.
This pet portrait using bold marker prints is exactly the type of art project that can be given to friends or family and they will love it. You can take a picture of their pet and create this super cool craft for them as a keepsake. It is a homeschool-mom-teaching-art win!
If you don’t have pets but you are learning about animals of some sort in your homeschool, head to a FREE stock photo site like Unsplashed or Pixabay for a photo of the animal/s your kids are studying and add this art project to go alongside your lessons.
Let your children make an adorable pet portrait with bold marker prints from the Kitchen Table Classroom.
