My childhood home was anything but peaceful. I remember Saturday morning cartoons and loving the somber simplicity of the Winnie the Pooh humorous cartoons. They were nothing like the craziness around me. I could watch them for hours on end.

What makes it a classic?

There is a reason these tales are still popular today and why they are considered a classic. The Winnie the Pooh books transcend time. They depict characteristics that many of us, even as adults, can relate to. The storylines are funny at the character’s expense, and we can appreciate the soft but clever humor.

The character traits are exaggerated but genuinely are enjoyable to us. Of course, I can relate to Winnie because he is always hungry! Everyone knows someone who seems to feel down a lot like Eeyore. Piglet and his anxiety are too funny to miss.

Their characters are undeniably attractive to readers. To this day, Winnie the Pooh character merchandise has stood the test of time. As a matter of fact, Winnie the Pooh is Disney’s most profitable franchise and brings in over a billion dollars in revenues each year
