John 14 is one of my favorite chapters in the entire Bible. The love and warmth that flows from Jesus through those words quiets my heart. The honesty and inability of the disciples to understand encourages me when I am confused and feeling lost.
The fact that Jesus tenderly shares these words of comfort with His disciples at this moment, when He knows they will all turn and abandon Him in such a short period of time, and when He knows what He is about to face for their sake and ours, is unfathomable to me.
