Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and November is almost at an end. That means that Advent season is quickly approaching. Advent is a wonderful time to reflect and focus on God’s special gift to us during the busy Christmas season. These free advent printables will help your family keep their focus on Christ.
What is Advent?
The definition of advent comes from the Latin word “adventus” , which means “arrival” or “coming,” particularly of something having great importance. Advent is a time of reflection on the arrival of the birth of Jesus and a great opportunity to draw your family closer to Him.
When Does Advent Begin?
Advent begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas day, or the Sunday that falls the closest to November 30th, and it lasts until Christmas Eve. It is fitting to use the Christmas season to put our focus on Jesus and away from the commercialism of the actual holiday.
