There are just some of us who get super excited about this holiday season. I start getting excited around June. This is my mind: “YES!” We are halfway there!
I know, I know. Others will say it’s a long time away. OK, scrooge! Ha!

In our minds, we make connections between the good parts of that holiday and trying to recreate them every year thereafter. Of course, it can have the opposite effect.

- The first ornaments were used in 16th century Germany during the Renaissance period.

- The round Christmas bulb ornaments are also called Christmas baubles or Christmas balls.
- Christmas ornaments are usually made of brown glass, metal, wood, blown plastics, ceramics, or expanded polystyrene.

- In the 1880s, F.W. Woolworth of America discovered the Lauscha’s baubles find in Germany and by the 20th century, Woolworth made $25 million for the popular Christmas ornaments alone.
- The most expensive Christmas tree decoration, that functions, is a $950,000 diamond-studded star.
- The largest Christmas bauble ornament is 15 ft 4 in (4.68 m) in diameter and weighed 2,425 lb (1,100 kg). It was executed in The Dubai Mall (Emaar Malls) (UAE) on 19 December 2018.
- In Ukraine, Christmas trees are decorated with spider webs – spider ornaments.
- Putting Christmas lights on the Christmas trees was started by a colleague of Thomas Edison. We should have guessed something like that.
