This has been a very cold winter. There was even some snow in Florida, though we didn’t get any in our area, we did get lots of ice and frost. My girls have been so excited hoping they could see some snow fall.

Winter is the perfect time to do a study on snowflakes. Even if you don’t live where it snows, there are many things you can do to teach your kids about snow, and snowflakes. There are some amazing scientific facts about snowflakes. This would also make for the perfect nature study if you live where it is white all winter long.
