What preschooler doesn’t love sitting and cutting up pieces of paper?

Scissor Practice Ideas and Sheets for PreKLetting your little ones learn how to safely use scissors helps them to develop their fine motor skills. It is also VERY fun for them and can keep them busy for a long time!

Before Pinterest I used to let my little ones cut up magazine pictures and paste them to construction paper. One of our favorite activities was to create a color book. We would get one sheet of every color of construction paper and have them search for pictures in magazines of that same color and cut and paste to create a color book.

This is still a great idea and I think every preschooler should make one! I am also loving all of the wonderful resources available online to print out and use. You can print a bunch of these out and create a busy work/fine motor skill box or folder to pull out during the day to keep little hands busy.
