I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! At least I did as a child, didn’t you? I know my own kids get so excited whenever they just hear the word ice cream.
One of my fondest memories as a child is sitting on my grandparent’s back porch cranking the ice cream machine. I don’t know if it’s because I had to work so hard for it or not, but man…that was good ice cream! The best part was we could make it whatever flavor we wanted! And boy did we mix up some doozies over the years.
Summer is the perfect time for spending time outdoors with family and friends. Cooking over a fire pit, eating barbecue, and having ice cream on those hot summer nights is what childhood memories are made of. So why not bring a little of that sweetness into your homeschool!

There are so many fun ways to learn about ice cream. You can learn about the science behind mixing and creating your own ice cream. Or learn why eating cold items give you a headache. And of course, you can experiment with creating your own flavors too!
Make summer learning fun with these Ice Cream printables, hands-on activities, crafts, and even homemade recipes. It’s the perfect Summer Unit Study!
