Learn how to make a paper basket weaving just in time for Easter. ‘Tis the season of Easter baskets. Some of us do Easter Baskets and some don’t. Either way, this craft project to make paper baskets from weaving is still a great skill to teach children.
I always looked forward to Easter baskets as a child. Although I don’t give them any more to my kids, I still would enjoy the tradition if I could. I live in a second world country where they import Easter baskets and you would NOT believe how much they are.
I stopped getting them for my kids years ago but the prices are just ridiculous nowadays, especially here.
I do think my kids will really enjoy this basket weaving project this year. We still do a kid candy hunt in my family for all the cousins so they can use this paper weaving basket to gather their candy.
We did a weaving project last year and I am glad they can expound and sharpen their weaving skills this year with a basket.
This post includes a printable template to help your kids get started and to give their basket some structure. The template is sized to print on standard 8.5 x 11 copy paper so nothing special is needed, which is great.
