I am really enjoying the idea of open ended materials in homeschool. It really allows children the opportunity to be curious, creative and direct their own play. You can almost see the children thinking about how and what to do with the items. There are no rules or expectations, no specific steps to follow, no right or wrong way, no ultimate goal to reach or achieve. The learning can be endless and the pressure is off us parents. Open ended materials help our children think for themselves in a world of technology at their fingertips. These outdoor, open ended materials really will help your children use their imagination and thinking skills. These are thing which will help then stand apart from the rest as they grow older.
