My daughter is always super excited to get back into the full swing of school for a new year. She loves studying and getting new school supplies clothes because we do that in our home for her. It has always helped motivate her for the school year.

My son, on the other hand, he lives for field trips and nature studies. Poor thing, he is never rude or throws fits but I just know that he doesn’t really want to “do school”. He would rather be playing outside, getting dirty, and playing rugby. I accept his differences and his reluctance.

I understand why homeschool is frustrating for him. He is just like his dad. They are so super smart. They are intelligent but they would rather be working with their hands somewhere, creating things, and working by the sweat of their brow.
