My girls love anything to do with art! I am not a very artistic person, though I have done my share of crafts. I am very crafty, but I am not artsy. My girls on the other hand love art, and they love experimenting with different mediums. I’m always on the search for artistic projects that are simple to do, but turn out like a very impressive piece of art.
My daughter just asked me for chalk pastels for her birthday, so I am anxious to show this new art project to her. This art project from Kitchen Table Classroom will give your kids the permission to get their papers messy with glue! They will draw on dark cardstock with glue and let their designs dry. Then they fill them in with chalk pastels. This has such a cool effect when it is finished. Find out on exactly how to do this project with a step-by-step tutorial here.
