Earth Day is a worldwide celebration that started in 1970. It is celebrated around the world to help people focus on encouraging clean living, recycling, and sustainability. It is a fun holiday to study with your children, and there are some fun and easy Earth Day crafts that are perfect to incorporate into that study.
There are many lessons that can come from studying Earth Day with your kids. You can focus on nature and nature studies, learn about recycling, conservation and wildlife protection. You can even do a unit study or science lessons on Ecology. We personally love to read the Lorax and we normally do some type of park clean up!
Recycling is also a fun focus, as there are many upcycled crafts that you can make from recycled items. We also like to learn about nature and incorporate nature crafts.
All of these crafts are pretty simple and don’t take up a lot of time. They are fun to display, and some of them even have a good purpose to them, like giving back to nature.
