How to use a photography scavenger hunt in your homeschool.
It’s pretty simple! At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the link to get your FREE download of the Thanksgiving Photography Scavenger Hunt.
Opening the download from your phone makes the scavenger hunt list easily accessible. But, for your younger kids, you may want to print it and hand it out. They can easily mark off the items they have completed and take time to consider what they want their picture to be. There are several pages so you can swap them around among the family or the kids.
Once everyone has snapped a few pics, it will be fun to share them on your favorite social media platform with your friends and family. Start a thankfulness conversation where you encourage others to share their moments of gratitude too. Younger kids not on social media may want to use them in other creative ways too. Here are a few ideas.
Ways To Use The Thanksgiving Photography Scavenger Hunt.
- Print them out & make a Thanksgiving-inspired bunting or banner with the images.
- Create a digital presentation to share in a community learning group or with the whole family on Thanksgiving Day.
- Create a Thanksgiving tree with small printed images that can have a quote, verse or short comment written on the back.
- Get creative with your Thanksgiving table decorations and use image holders as part of your centerpiece. The one below is super fun and easy to decorate with!
Bring The Family Together.
As you are waiting to gather for your Thanksgiving feast, share your photos with each other and talk about how the image captures your heart and expresses thankfulness and gratitude. Thanksgiving can be a really special time to remembering and blessing your family. Photography, a scavenger hunt, and even a month-long gratitude challenge are all great ways to bring the family together and remember to give thanks in all things.
Sharing stories of kindness, gratitude and thankfulness can be so powerful. Use this opportunity in your homeschool, and your family gatherings to express your love and gratitude for each other and all the great things God has done in the lives of your children, your family, and the world around you.
