Sometimes it seems so difficult to get our children to think about how others feel in a situation. More often, my child will experience a difficult situation, but felt unable to speak positively in the middle of it. It’s so easy to think of the right thing to say later, isn’t it?

I want my children to be good friends, siblings, workers, and future spouses. One way to cultivate an attitude of empathy, a foundational trait of healthy relationships, is to teach our children the Golden Rule. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This free, printable Empathy Card Game will encourage great conversations between you and your child, and will enable you to guide him down the path of empathy.
