Remember the ant farm of yesteryear? Yes, although this unique experience somehow completely managed to get bypassed by my children’s childhood, they are still around! The ant farm is a great way to closely observe the tenacious habits of the ant. There’s a reason they are mentioned in the book of Proverbs! You can make spiritual applications, scientific applications, or just simply enjoy it for what it is.

With these DIY instructions, you can make your own farm with ordinary materials and a purchase of mail-order ants (approx. $5). The prepackaged ant farms that I researched online cost anywhere from $12 to $35 dollars, so it’s definitely worth it to make your own!
