Dr. Seuss books are a staple in our homeschool. The rhymes and stories are so silly and memorable. These also make great first readers as the books rhyme and it’s easy for your struggling readers to know what will come next. The repetition helps with sight words as well.
Dr. Seuss’s birthday is on March 2. This is a time where schools and libraries usually take the time to celebrate his life by having special Dr. Seuss parties and reading times. This would be a fun time to do a Dr. Seuss theme in your homeschool. You could focus on one or two books a week and still have months of learning fun as there are so many books to choose from!
