The fourth of July is a fun time for families. The weather is nice, gathering is fun. Kids love fireworks! My kids also love doing hands-on Fourth of July STEM activities. If you are looking for some patriotic themed STEM activities you can incorporate into your day, you won’t want to miss these.

Fourth of July Traditions

Patriotic holidays are some of my favorites. I loved the 4th of July growing up, because it was one holiday I could almost always count on seeing my cousins. They would come in town to visit our grandparents and stay for the huge fireworks show that night.

Fourth of July Activities

The show was so big, that people began setting up and “camping out” for the day around noon. People brought lawn chairs, pop-up tents for shade, their own portable grills to cookout, ice chests full of drinks, equipment for outdoor games, cards and so much more!
