What was the First Christmas Ornament? (History of Ornaments)
We probably have never thought of it but Christmas ornaments actually have a history. The history of Christmas ornaments originated in 16th century Germany.
However, the ornaments aren’t anything like they are today. The original “Christmas” tree was a small evergreen tree and the ornaments were candles, berries, nuts, and apples.
Who Invented Christmas Ornaments?
Well, the Christmas ornaments today were originally started in Germany as stated above. However, devout Christians started decorating trees in their homes. They integrated decorations on their trees during the holiday season in their homes.
It became a tradition and a Christian Christmas time ritual that spread across Europe and around the world today.
Now that we know where the tradition of Christmas ornaments comes from, now celebrate the season by decorating your own Christmas trees at home.
