I love teaching my kids how to write their own names; it feels like a rite-of-passage to me. Like they’re finally ready to begin their official “homeschooling.” As I’ve shared before, we adhere to more of an unschooling approach with our preschool and elementary-aged kids, but we encourage them to learn how to properly write their name as soon as they are able to do so using editable name tracing worksheets.
