Check out these awesome composting activities, resources and worm unit study with a free printable wordsearch. My husband has recently enlisted my son into his composting project. My hubby originally just gave my son the chore of taking the compost out, but slowly but surely he began to explain why we did it and now my son is excited about learning more. Composting is fun, easy, and great for the environment. It also makes an excellent science experiment to teach kids about biology, life cycles, recycling, and conservation. We all can set up a composting bin at home to recycle leaves and plants to use in gardens to grow fresh fruits and vegetables. Kids will love to see these evolve from start to finish.
