Much like learning history was dreadful for me in public school, I have to say the same about geography class. It was all about memorizing maps, not so much learning about actual geography, cultures, landscapes, etc. I do feel like memorizing maps is wonderful and very beneficial, but there is so much more to learn when it comes to geography. Over the years I have developed a love for it as we have dived into studying about cultures, habitats, natural resources, landscapes, and more.
