Our family loves nature studies and the Great Outdoors! One of our favorite things to do is watch the birds outside of our window each morning. We have a big window seat right in front of our kitchen table. My daughters get up early in the mornings and we have a basket of bird books and field guides sitting in the window seat. In that basket I also have a marker! GASP! It is one of the only times I allow them to write in their books. They circle the birds they see and the dates they come into our yard.

I love this gentle way of learning. They have learned so much from watching the birds on our feeders everyday. It is fun to see the birds in the morning while we are eating breakfast and watch them return in the evening when we are eating dinner.

I have compiled a list of FREE bird themed printables and unit studies to help you in your study of God’s beautiful birds!
