“It is a pity that we like our music as our pictures and our poetry mixed, so that there are few opportunities of going through as a listener a course of the works of a single composer . . . Let young people study as far as possible under one master until they have received some of this teaching and know its style.” Charlotte Mason
If you haven’t figured it out yet by most of my posts, I really love the Charlotte Mason Method of teaching in our homeschool. Today I will be sharing with you many FREE resources and affordable books to guide you in beginning your own Composer and Classical Music studies.
Composer and Music Study is surprisingly very simple and fun! According to Charlotte Mason’s methodology, you would pick one composer to study for 6 weeks. During those 6 weeks you constantly play the music in your home and car, while doing school etc. to get your children used to hearing it and finally being able to recognize the music. You may choose read aloud books on the composer as well as notebooking activities and lapbooks to further your studies.
