If you have ever had a child that has struggled with reading, you know that it is a challenge, to say the least. There is this feeling that creeps over you as a parent when your child is looking at letters or words on a page and they just can’t put them together. Using games to help you teach reading can make a world of difference in the journey.
My son just struggles with school period. HE is just this bubbly, fun, hyper, happy boy who has issues staying still. I have had to change up my whole idea of what homeschooling should be in order for him to grasp concepts and learn in a way that he is able to be successful.
It has been a whirlwind but I wouldn’t change a thing.
What he responds to very effectively, are games. I don’t fully homeschool by gameschooling, but I do not deny the positive effect it has on my son to get motivated to learn. These four reading games will help your struggling reader want to read more.
