When my children were little, they had the cutest lisps. Trotting around with their sweet little mouse voices, lisps, and big adoring eyes – they could just about get away with anything! But, I knew that as they grew older, their little lisps would be less adorable and more pronounced as speech impediments, so I took them to speech therapy. Thankfully, one child only needed one session because that’s all our insurance at the time would approve! My other child had about three months of speech therapy and we are so grateful for each session.
If you suspect that your child could benefit from speech therapy, here are some helpful resources that you can try right in your own home. It might be enough to do the trick, and the whole process will be less stressful and less expensive since you’re doing it right in your own home!
