It’s important to teach children about fire safety. October is Fire Safety Month, with Fire Safety Week being during the week of October 9th. Some dear friends of ours lost two of their children in fire and a blogger friend lost her life, as well as her husband and two of their children in a fire. I been more diligent than ever to educate my children about the dangers of fires. As we head into Fire Safety Week, plan to use some fire safety printables to teach your kids what to do in the event of a fire.

Over the years, I have seen an increase in house fires around Christmastime when people are busy with family obligations and outings with friends. They forget to turn off the lights on their tree or don’t realize their tree needs water.

Teaching your children about fire safety is important. Use these fire safety printables to create a unit study to use during the month of October and Fire Safety Week. You’ll discover all sorts of free fire prevention worksheets and fire safety printables that you can use with kids of all ages.
