Pinwheels in the summer are a staple for memory-making fun. There is no longer a need to purchase one in a store anymore. You can totally help your kids make DIY pinwheels on their own at home as an art project.
To make paper pinwheels all you will need are paper, a pencil with an eraser, a straight pin, and scissors. These supplies can help your kids easily customize their own creation.
This resource also explains how to paint paper from past watercolor technique explorations. Your kids can easily turn any piece of artwork to a wonderful air loom.
You can make the resource in two different sizes. The artwork or special patterned scrapbook paper is a super easy way to get your pinwheel started. Print your template out and add any hand-drawn patterns or colors before you cut! Then cut out the square shape and cut on diagonal lines from corners inward.
