If you ask a group of homeschooling moms which subject they’d like to have taught to their children by someone else, you will overwhelmingly hear two main answers, math and science. I already use a math program that does all the teaching and grading, so for me — hands down, it’s SCIENCE.

I am thrilled to introduce you to a company that offers affordable science courses on video for homeschoolers. They have also generously agreed to give you a FREE Science Workbook (valued at $15). Read on to learn how you can snag this free science resource for your homeschool, while entering to win a full course for your kids!

FREE Science Workbook

Science Shepherd Introductory Science is a full science curriculum for homeschoolers that is suitable for elementary students ages 6-11. It is a Creation-based science curriculum suitable for a Christian homeschool, so if faith-based science is important to you, you will definitely want to check out their courses.

It covers a wide variety of topics, including:

  • creation
  • geology
  • biology
  • astronomy
  • oceanography
  • meteorology
  • and more!

This video science course consists of daily short video lessons that include activities. That’s a homeschool mom score for sure!

It’s self-paced and can be accessed at a convenient time for your homeschool schedule. Introductory Science is divided into 35 weeks, but is totally flexible if you wish to complete it sooner or extend it out a bit. For your convenience, a DVD option is also available.

In addition to the video course, workbooks are recommended to reinforce concepts taught in the video lessons. They are available in two levels:

  • Level A is for approximately ages 6-8
  • Level B is for approximately ages 9-11.

Level B contains all of the same material as Level A, but also includes additional content for older students. Like most homeschooling curriculum, the levels are flexible and ages are suggestions only.

You can check out a sample lesson video or access a free preview of Introductory Science through the student learning portal. You can also view the scope and sequence along with additional samples.
