When first became a Christian I was never encouraged to read God’s Word on my own. Years later I knew I had to read it for myself, but studying it was something I had never done. Studying the scriptures bring a whole new dimension to knowing who God truly is.
Sometimes it isn’t easy to admit. There is no judgment here because I have been there. I went to a church that fed us amazing sermons and Bible studies but never encouraged me to read His Word for me.
When I found out that I needed to and that I could learn more about Him by studying like I studying in college, I was all in. I was older, already in my thirties.
