I love poetry, but I have to be honest…I don’t always understand it. I love grammar and literature because they made sense to me, but poetry was another story. I had a hard time grasping the symbolism in many of the poems we read in school. Even so, there was something so hypnotic about the rhyming and meter of them that mesmerized me.

From that point on I have loved poetry, even if I didn’t always understand it. So when I realized my kids needed to be taught poetry, at least at some point, in our homeschool journey, I explored poetry printables that I could use with them.
