High school can be a very exciting and challenging time. One of the best things for students as a homeschooler is the freedom allotted to select their own electives. Use this ultimate list of electives for high school homeschoolers to give your student an idea of what is available to him/her.
When I think of electives, I think choice. I think interests and new life skills. In public school, I knew that electives were just what they had available in that school. Homeschooling opens up the doors to a swarm of different electives your student can take.
Aside from electives in core subjects, which can very help your students’ career choice, electives also allow your child to choose subjects to which they are extremely passionate about or intrigued by.
Some of these electives courses are from companies I have actually world for in the past, I have actually taken. Here are a few high school electives that have piqued my daughter’s interests:
- Woodworking Free Electives
- Harvard University’s Intro to Photography course
- Photography Free Electives
- Financial Literacy for High School students
- Teen Mental Health curriculum
- Complete Nutrition course from Drexel University
- Career Exploration Free Electives
- Cake Decorating Free Electives
