These FREE Modern History Activities & Notebooking pages look at five key events from American and world history that happened during the 1900s. They cover the:
- United States presidential election of 1900
- Eruption of Mount Pelée in 1902
- Olympic Games of 1904
- Launching of the Dreadnought in 1906
- Annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1908
Each event includes both an activity and some notebooking questions. The activities include fill-ins and decoding puzzles. By completing the activities, students will create an introduction to the topic being studied and learn key information about it. Following each activity are notebooking pages with additional questions. Students can use an encyclopedia or similar resource to find the answers to these questions, helping them learn more about the topic. The unit concludes with a crossword puzzle reviewing all five events studied.
