Advent guides have become extremely popular in recent years. Many are so beautiful and have tons of imaginative ways to engage your children in learning about the true meaning of Christmas. But there’s something a little bit different about this one, so I want to share it with you.
My sweet friend, Jenny, of The Learning Erb (find her on Instagram here) created a sweet advent study just for her family. She’s a mama of little ones, so she’s still fully aware of the needs of guiding little ones to the beauty of Christmas, in a simple yet seamless way.
In Jenny’s advent guide, she has taken an extremely gentle approach in introducing the advent season to littles. Each day throughout the season, you have a short scripture reading but the GEM to this guide is that there is a brief, concise paraphrase of the scripture reading that is PERFECT for little learners. It also makes Mom’s job that much easier!
In addition to the scripture and paraphrase, Jenny invites you to create a Jesse tree (complete with ornaments), say a prayer, and sing a fun carol each day. In our home, we will be utilizing this Jesse Tree Advent during out morning basket.
Jenny has GENEROUSLY offered this Jesse Tree Advent guide to HomeschoolGiveaways.com readers for FREE. Additionally, you can get her hand-painted watercolor advent ornaments for only $5 with coupon code: HOMESCHOOLGIVEAWAYS at her ETSY SHOP HERE.
