Even if you have allergies like me, there is an irresistible beauty in flowers. They dot our yards and brighten up boring sidewalks. They add a splash of life and color wherever they are found, and they grow even in extreme environments around the world.

In this fun unit, kids can learn about ten different types of flowers while practicing and sharpening their artistic skills. They’ll discover where they are from or where they grow, how large they grow, what colors are common, and more.

A paragraph about each flower is included, along with two guided drawing activities for each. A set of 10 comprehension questions wraps up the unit, and an answer key is provided.

With this guided drawing unit, kids will learn about the:

  • calla lily
  • carnation
  • daisy
  • iris
  • magnolia
  • narcissus
  • pansy
  • petunia
  • rose
  • tulip

Discover which flower includes a variety named for poets, which flower grows along the banks of the Nile River in Egypt, which flower has two types of flowers in one, and more!
