We worked on it at a campout and they were able to do some really fun activities to earn this badge! I found TONS of fun engineering ideas, printables and unit studies I wanted to share with you. These would be fun to do as Science Experiments or just fun hands on Science days!

Engineering is Elementary offers a FREE Curriculum Series called Engineering Adventures! There are currently 7 FREE units with hands on engineering design challenges based on real events around the world. The units are free to download and there are also videos to watch on each subject.

Engineering Science With the World’s Tallest Buildings  free unit study from Starts at Eight

Try Engineering  has a variety of different FREE Engineering Lessons Plans for students and teachers. There are tons of FREE downloads in different age groups from ages 8 up to 18!

I Game Mom shares all about an app that has over 3,000 Searchabe Stem Activities for Kids.

Instructables has a Project Based Engineering Series of FREE videos for kids. These are really neat and there are lots of instructions on fun projects to build.

Egg Drop Challenge with FREE Planning Printable by Buggy and Buddy. This was a favorite when we did the engineering badge. The girls had so much fun using recycled items to try to keep their egg safe from cracking!
