These gorgeous flying insects adorn gardens with their bright and cheerful colors. Children are fascinated by them, watching and chasing them as they flutter around. These free butterfly resources are a fun way for children to learn more about these amazing insects.
Butterfly Resources
Many large and diverse gardens are alive with butterflies during the summer. With the first females emerging in spring or early summer, a couple of weeks later, they lay eggs that will hatch and the life cycle starts again. Here are a variety of resources that children can use as part of a butterfly study or insect study to help them learn more about these beautiful insects.
