  • Obey

Read the account of the ten commandments in Exodus 20:1-21. Focus on verse 12. This is the commandment with a promise that Paul refers to in this passage in Ephesians.

God has put parents in your life to shape you and help you learn to obey Him. Parents are God’s representatives on earth to help you learn and grow until you are mature enough to make decisions for yourself.

Apply:

  • What does it means to obey your parents?
  • Why should you obey your parents?
  • How does obeying your parents make your life go well?
  • List one area in which you struggle to obey your parents.
  • How will you choose to obey in that area this week?
