Picnics are an annual summer time tradition. Now most of the time here in the summer it’s quite hot for a picnic, so we may do one inside on the floor! We will often pack picnic lunches to eat under an awning at the beach, or at an indoor play place during the hot summer months.

Little ones love picnics. Here in Florida, we deal with lots of pesty fire ants, so my little ones have always been terrified of ants. Ants always seem to be associated with picnics though, and there are a lot of fun learning activities and printables that will use ants in picnic themes.

If you are wanting to do a picnic theme in your preschool you will have a lot of fun with these ant picnic themed printables and adorable crafts!
