Math in Nature

I will never forget this science class I took in college. I was only a Christian a few years, but I was aware of the liberal mindsets of college campuses and was dreading taking a science course, but I had no choice.

It ended up being the most awesome science class I had ever taken. Why? Well, the professor blew my mind. The class was called Sensory Perception which is, in essence, evaluating, measuring, analyzing, and interpreting through the senses of sight, smell, touch, taste, and hearing.

The very first sense we explored was the eye. We went through every part of the eye, everything the eye could do, the way it worked and the enormity of the intricate details of it that is absolutely unmatched anywhere else in the world.

After explaining all this to us in great details the professor ended his lesson with this:

After looking at the eye, how it works, and how its intricate details are unmatched, I would argue that there is no other explanation for it other than intelligent design — meaning YUP, it was from GOD.

My heart fell to the floor and in a class where eyes rolled, or blank stares were in their faces I prayed the Lord would bring that to their minds when they doubt that there is a Creator for this creation.

It is super intriguing for kids to understand that God is intrinsically detailed in His creation. Math is a perfect subject that can depict just how amazing God is in the way we can see math in nature and in our world. I pray that all our kids get to understand that one day.
