With summer finally here, most kids are on summer break from school. That doesn’t mean that they have to stop writing or exercising their creative juices. I enjoy assigning writing prompts to help keep my kids writing in a casual way. Assigning some free writing prompts for Father’s Day is a great way to have your kids practice some extra writing over the summer.
Do you struggle coming up with heartfelt gift ideas for the different holidays? Maybe you want to take a break from the basic card or drawing gift. Assigning writing prompts is a great way to have your kids make a special gift for dad for Father’s Day.
It can be something sweet to look at later when they are older. Writing prompts are also a great way to help your child express how they are feeling with their writing. It also helps them practice their handwriting and creative writing at the same time. Some kids have a hard time expressing their feelings out loud. Writing is an easier way for children to let their thoughts and feelings come out onto paper.
Father’s Day is a great time to get your kids thinking about what they love about their dad. They can share with them what they are thankful for and what their favorite thing about their dad is. These really do make for some sweet memories to look back on. Some of them can be pretty humorous too! They make for an inexpensive, and free father’s day gift.
