How do you help your kids when they experience and feel fear? This Overcome Fear Bible Study For Kids is a wonderful way to help your kids learn about fear according to the Bible and what to do with it.

There’s so many accounts in the Bible where the Lord says, “Do not fear.” And why is fear an issue?

The fear we can feel can be related to something that is happening on the outside of us in the physical world, or inside our minds which we believe will or is happening in the physical world. Fear torments our minds. And it’s in our minds, that’s where we begin to become distant to our heavenly Father.

What does the Bible say about fear?

2 Timothy 1:7 says NKJV,

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Fear is the enemy to our faith. When we experience fear, what we do with it matters.

Either we can allow fear to have its place in our minds taking root in our hearts or we can intentionally set our minds to seek the Lord giving Him our hearts.

The enemy wants us trapped in a state of fear. Fear can paralyze us. It removes our ability to feel like we can do anything for the Lord because of what it consumes from us spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally.

Faith and fear cannot co-exist in our lives; it’s one or the other. But, we learn in scripture that just because you’re experiencing fear, doesn’t mean it has to stay that way. Faith can rise up inside of you when you set your mind to seek the Lord. The Lord knows that we have a choice to make in our life constantly – fear or faith.

So how do we help our kids overcome fear?
