Some kids catch the kindness bug fairly young in life. Other kids, not so much. If you are looking to encourage your kids to become more kind or to encourage the continued behavior of being kind, these 70+ random acts of kindness activities will be a hit.
I am not exactly sure how my son caught on fairly quickly to be gentle and kind to girls and kids that were smaller than him. He just knew to take care of them and be sweet to them. Little girls loved my son since he was about 2. He was a big gentle teddy bear.
The thing is when it came to other boys his age or older, it was no holds barred. My son was a tough and rough boy.
Now that my kids are older (9 and 13), I am thinking they could use some reminders about how to be kind to others and learn some ways they can demonstrate kindness intentionally to those around them.
Here are a few topics explored in this resource about acts of kindness:
- What Are Some Simple Acts of Kindness
- Opening the door for someone behind you
- Smiling at someone as you walk by them on the street
- Passing on a gift to someone else in need
- Paying it forward by offering help or assistance
- Acts of Kindness Cards
