This is a HOT summer! If your kids are like mine, they hate being cooped up inside and they want to get outside and play, especially during the summer when we aren’t doing as much school as we do during the school year.
Summer is a great time to relax, kick back and have some fun family time. You can really have a blast in the hot summer months if you include water in your family time! I found some really cool ideas for water games that will be a blast for ALL ages!
Water Game Ideas:
Squirt Gun Water Races from Design Dazzle – try to get the cup across the string using only a water gun! This looks like a ton of fun.
Fill the Bucket Outdoor Water Game from The Resourceful Mama
Make Your Own Sponge Ball Toss Game from Passion for Savings
Play a Game of Kiddie Pool Kickball from Let’s Get Together
Water Balloon Fun:
Water Balloon Stomp Inspired by I Love Lucy – we love I Love Lucy and the episode where she stomps on the grapes is a favorite in our house! My kids will LOVE this idea from Livingly.
Water Balloon Pinatas – kids love pinatas, but these drop refreshing water instead of sugary treats! We love this fun idea from Milk Allergy Mom.
Shaving Cream Balloons from Totally the Bomb are super fun and messy for the kids. I love that you can hose everyone off when you are done with your balloon war!
Play a wild game of Water Balloon Baseball from Overstuffed Life.
DIY Milk Jug Water Balloon Launch from Kid Friendly Things to Do – this is a fun summer craft and a game all in one!
We love these Bunch O Balloons for filling up a ton at one time:
Here are some more water play ideas that would be perfect for little ones:
